Dominating the free practice session on Friday, Brazilian Felipe Massa once again demonstrated that he is fastest in the Malaysian Grand Prix by attaining the pole position for the tomorrow’s race. World champion Fernando Alonso come distant second while Australian grand prix winner Kimi Raikkonen had to contend with third position in the grid.
There is no doubt that Ferrari has the fastest car at the moment and if both Massa and Raikkonen drive carefully, nobody can stop them, not even two time world champion Fernando Alonso. To his part, Alonso is driving quite well but Mclaren as a whole package is struggling at the moment particularly in terms of control and reliability.
Renault minus Fernando Alonso this season doesn’t look like a force they were last season. As a matter of fact, both the Renault cars were unable to finish in top 10 and until something dramatic happens, you will not see Renault on the podium at the Malaysian Grand Prix.
